Bottom is a British TV sitcom created by Adrian Edmondson and Rik Mayall that originally aired on BBC2 from 17 September 1991 to 10 April 1995 across three series. The show stars Edmondson and Mayall as Edward Elizabeth “Eddie” Hitler and Richard “Richie” Richard, two crude, perverted flatmates with no jobs and little money who live in Hammersmith, West London. The show is noted for its chaotic, nihilistic humour and violent comedy slapstick.

Just finished all three seasons of “Bottom” and even if I have always liked Adrian Edmondson and Rik Mayall since the days of “Young Ones”, this comedy tv-show feels a bit outdated and this sort of toilet humour is not really my cup of tea in 2019.

“Chernobyl” is a five-part historical drama television miniseries created and written by Craig Mazin, and directed by Johan Renck. The series was produced by HBO in association with Sky UK, it depicts the Chernobyl nuclear disaster of April 1986 and the unprecedented cleanup efforts that followed. It features an ensemble cast led by Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgård, Emily Watson, and Paul Ritter.

Just finished this five-part tv-series and yes well made in terms of visuals, props, environments, the nuclear plant etc. Ok casting (even if I think that Stellan Skarsgård goes overacting) with the great Jared Harris in the lead. But, while I think the build up is strong the last episode miss that tension and excitement making it fall a bit flat in the end. Even if I think the end is totally ok. And I do struggle with the lack of russian which I think could´ve been handled better to create a stronger connection to the source material. “Chernobyl” is solid in many ways, but not the best tv-series made like some people claim it to be.
