Love Broken Bells.

Broken Bells have shared a surprised fans with the release of new song ‘It’s That Talk Again’.

The previously unheard song was recorded during sessions for 2014 album ‘After The Disco’ and is released ahead of concert film Live at the Orpheum airing on US TV this weekend. The duo, James Mercer of the Shins and producer Danger Mouse, filmed their performance at the Los Angeles venue in October 2014 with fans able to watch it at 9pm Saturday (September 26) on the Palladia network.

Broken Bells released their second album ‘After The Disco’ in January 2014. It was the follow up to their 2010 self-titled debut with an EP, ‘Meyrin Fields’, arriving inbetween. (via NME)

Broken Bells have announced details of a new EP to be released online later this month. According to the band’s offical website the four-track collection, called ‘Meyrin Fields’, will be out on March 29. It is available for pre-order now. Two songs, ‘Windows’ and ‘Heartless Empire’, are previously unreleased. The duo, comprised of producer Danger Mouse and The Shins’ frontman James Mercer put out a self-titled album together under the alias Broken Bells in March last year. This is the new video from Broken Bells to their song “Ghost Inside”. The star of the video is the stunning Christina Hendricks from “Mad Men”.

I just want to push for the debut album from Broken Bells. A collaboration between James Mercer from The Shins and Dangermouse mostly known from Gnarls Barkley. There´s a light feeling in the bigger part of the album, with some really nice swooning harmonies, popbased sounds and some electronic touches. “The High Road”, “Vaporize”, “Your Head Is On Fire”, “The Ghost Inside” and “Trap Doors” are the strongest pieces in the Broken Bells puzzle. And yes, there´s a Shins feeling over the album, but it´s hardly dragging down the effort from Mercer and Dangermouse. This is on The Good List this year.

He he…. James Mercer (The Shins) and Dangermouse from Broken Bells pose as focus group moderators presenting their album to a panel of kid critics, and the kids didn´t know that they were the bandmembers.
