George Lois (born 1931, New York) is an art director, designer, and author. While job titles make it difficult to describe the breadth of work he’s carried out over an illustrious career spanning six decades, he’s perhaps best known for the Esquire magazine covers he art directed from 1962 to 1972 and advertising campaigns for Robert Kennedy, MTV, Tommy Hilfiger, Maypo and Pontiac, among others.
